PROJECT Z76: SOUTH 1ST STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Duininck Inc. has begun work on S. 1st Street by removing the pavement on S. 1st Street between Southview Drive and George Street including the intersections of S. 1st Street/Southview Drive and S. 1st Street/DeSchepper Street. The contractor will place gravel ramps into properties for resident access and the Southview Drive intersection will be surfaced with gravel during construction. Excavation and closure of the roadway is expected to begin on Wednesday, September 23rd at the intersection of DeSchepper Street. Construction is anticipated to be complete in November 2020.
During construction, the roadway will be closed to thru traffic. Please plan an alternate route and expect some traffic delays in the surrounding areas. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we complete these necessary improvements.
