Mrs. Whitney Buckets
The City of Marshall is selling commemorative buckets to celebrate Mrs. Whitney who named and blessed our town. We have three different bucket options; a small bucket, a large unplanted bucket and a large bucket planted with beautiful flowers from Greenwood Nursery. Small and large unplanted buckets are available for sale at the Lyon County Museum. Marshall “M” Mosaic Art Piece
The Artist is looking for found objects to incorporate into the mosaic tiles. This can include: China or glass, tiles, buttons, marbles, bottle caps, old jewelry, keys, single earrings, beads, small figurines, coins, children’s toys, watch faces, decorative spoons, or anything else that appeals to you. Donations can be dropped off at the Lyon County Museum during regular business hours (301 West Lyon Street). We can't guarantee we will use them all but we will carefully add your items to the design to make it unique and fun to look at and hopefully, you will see something of yours that has been donated to the project.150th Mrs. Whitney Quilt Panels
Stop by Graceful Marilyn Quilt Shoppe to see the beautiful Mrs. Whiney quilt panels available for sale! the bigger of the two is approximately 32"x40" and sells for $30. The other is a smaller fat quarter size or about 18"x22" and retails for $20.

SMSU RHA Photography Contest
Photos from in or around Marshall celebrating the City’s 150th Anniversary have been submitted and a winner has been chosen! Congratulations to Trent Paulsen on the winning photo! Winning prints will be displayed in the City of Marshall offices.

Marshall 150th City Bingo. Join us at the Red Baron Arena & Expo and let’s kick of the 150th celebration with a big old game of BINGO. Hosted by Visit Marshall. This is an age 18+ event.
Bingo packet is $20, Bingo starts promptly at 6:00PM. Doors open at 5:00PM.
Drinks available for purchase by the Hitching Post. Dinner available for purchase at 5pm from the Hitching Post, $10 Sandwich Buffet.

August 18th: 7:00 PM | "150 Years of Fashion" Show
The Lyon County Museum and the Marshall Downtown Business Association will be hosting a fashion show demonstrating the different styles from the past 150 years. The event will take place at the Mercantile Building next to Bello Cucina in downtown Marshall.
August 19th | City of Marshall Birthday PartyJoin us in celebrating Marshall’s 150th birthday with a party! Enjoy live music, crafts, and activities for the whole family including a magic show by illusionist Jett Skrien. Food trucks and a Brau beer will also be available during the event. The City of Marshall is honored to host Illusionist, Jett Skrien during our 150th Celebration. Jett, a native to Marshall is the fastest growing young illusionist who has performed his high caliber, innovative, and engaging show across the country. He not only brings a fresh, new perspective to the art of magic but presents his award-winning magic with the stage presence of a savvy veteran. Jett has had the opportunity to perform internationally, as well as in the entertainment capital of the United State: Branson, Missouri.
