It is the responsibility of individual property owners to remove snow and ice from sidewalks that abut their property. Please ensure that you are making accommodations for snow and ice removal on your sidewalk within 24 hours of a snow or ice event. Per City Ordinance Sec. 62-2, “Ice and snow on public sidewalks,” the City may have snow and ice removed from sidewalk if it is not removed within 24 hours after the snow or ice event, with the cost of the removal being assessed to the abutting property owner.
