The Marshall Police Department receives requests for the release of records, reports, or other information on a regular basis. There are certain records that can and cannot be released depending upon what information is sought, as well as where a case file is in its progression.

Listed below is the Marshall Police Department Policy on records Maintenance and Release regarding data privacy and records. You will also find a link for an electronic form to request data from the police department which includes a list of fees associated with obtaining records from the police department. Records release and data requests for information should be made during normal business hours, 8:00am-4:00pm.

For all data requests, please fill out the Data Request Form and email it to the Records Technician or send it by mail.  Only information that falls under the guidelines of the Minnesota Data Pracitces Act will be released.
