Memorial Park

Memorial Park

Memorial Park, located on Main Street in downtown Marshall, is a special place of recognition. The completion of the Veterans’ Memorial has demonstrated that a visual reminder of the sacrifices made can have a significant impact on our communities and citizens. The decision and process to establish this everlasting tribute in Memorial Park honors the sacrifices made by our military veterans, firefighters, and public safety personnel through the years. Through several conflicts and wars, this special place makes a profound statement of cooperation and commitment for which the City of Marshall is grateful.

9/11 Memorial commemorates one of the most significant events in our nation's history. Our own Marshall Fire Department acquired a beam from the rubble of the World Trade Center in New York City. This inspiring memorial will celebrate our nation's capacity to survive and overcome adversity and at the same time symbolize the renewal and resolve of a nation which came together that fateful day. The 9/11 Memorial will be the focus and a gathering place for our revitalized downtown. It will also honor the public safety personnel who sacrificed their lives to save others.
