Rules

Marshall Aquatics Management reserves the right to refuse admittance to or eject from the pool premises any person failing to comply with any of the below health and safety regulations.


Lifejacket Policy

1. PERSONAL Lifejackets are permitted in the main pool and shallow pool. Lifejackets MUST be coast guard approved, and parents MUST be within arm’s reach of the child AT ALL TIMES

2.Every Child with a lifejacket MUST have a parent or guardian accompany them down the slide. Parents CANNOT catch their kids when exiting the slide.

3. NO Lifejackets are allowed on the diving boards. Parents also CANNOT catch their kids when jumping off the diving boards.

4. MAC Lifejackets are available to check out at the Front Desk. MAC Lifejackets can be used on the slide as well as in the main and shallow pool. MAC Lifejackets MUST be RETURNED to the front desk after use.



General Rules

1. No running, pushing, or horseplay in the pool area or locker rooms.

2. Patrons must shower before swimming and after using the bathroom.

3. No spitting, spouting water, or blowing of nose in the pool.

4. No hanging on the ropes.

5. No glass, gum, candy, food, or tobacco is permitted in or near the pool area or locker room.

TOBACCO, VAPES, and other illegal substances are NOT allowed ON OR NEAR pool property. Violators who are under 18 WILL BE PROHIBITED from the pool for the REST OF THE SUMMER. This is a ZERO TOLERANCE Policy.

6. No tag games on deck.

7. No standing on tables, chairs, or benches.

8. Floats, inflatables, swim fins, scuba gear, or aqua socks are NOT allowed. (Lifejacket Policy Below)

9. No goggles with glass or goggles that cover the nose are allowed.

Goggles with nose pieces, glass, or that cover the face are NOT allowed in the pool.

10. No cut offs or thongs allowed.

11. Diving allowed ONLY on diving boards.

12. Infants and children who are not potty trained MUST wear approved plastic swim pants.

13. A distance of 2 blocks on deck is allowed for running jumps.

14. No rocks or foreign objects in the pool.

15. A person with open blisters, cuts, etc., is advised not to use the pool.

16. Any person having any infectious or communicable disease is prohibited from using the pool.

17. Dogs and other animals are not allowed in the pool area.


Weather/Closing Policies

  1. The Marshall Aquatics Staff reserves the RIGHT to CLOSE early due to low attendance. NO REFUNDS (25 patrons or less)

  2. In case of severe weather or cold temperatures, the Marshall Aquatic Center will CLOSE for at least 30 minutes. NO REFUNDS


Wading Pool Rules

1. Children must be 6 years and under.

2. No Running.

3. A distance of 1 block on deck is allowed for running jumps.

4. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a guardian.

5. No climbing on fences.

6. No rocks or foreign objects in the pool.

No child will be permitted unless:

Child is UNDER 6 years old AND accompanied and supervised by a guardian.


Diving Well Rules

1. Only 1 patron at a time is allowed on the diving boards.

2. Only 1 bounce on board.

3. Patrons must dive or jump straight off the board.

4. Area under the board must be clear before the next patron jumps or dives.

5. Patrons must wait for patron in front of them to reach nearest ladder before going.

6. NO preachers, inwards, sailor dives, gainers, or pretzels.

7. NO lifejackets allowed on diving boards.


Slide Rules

1. Only one person at a time

2. Must slide feet first and remain on back.

3. NO standing, running, kneeling, rotating, tumbling, or stopping on the slide.

4. Patrons must be at least 48 inches tall.

5. Any patron under 48 inches MUST wear a lifejacket and go with a guardian OR have passed a swim test administered by a MAC lifeguard.

6. No loose articles (googles, sunglasses, hats, etc.)

7. No diving from the slide.

8. Must leave catch pool promptly after entering water.


Dismissal Policy

In order to follow health and safety regulations, the Marshall Aquatics Staff has the following procedure for continual rule breaking throughout the summer. Patrons will be given TWO WARNINGS before each offense.

 

FIRST OFFENSE The individual will not be allowed to use the facility for one full day. Parent or Guardian may be notified.

SECOND OFFENSE The individual will not be allowed to use the facility for one full week. Parent or Guardian will be notified.

THIRD OFFENSE The individual will not be allowed to use the facility for the rest of the season. If individual is under 18, a conference will be arranged with individual, parent or guardian, and MCS staff before patron can use the facility next summer.

 

FIRST SERIOUS OFFENSE The individual will be eject for 1 Week. Parent or Guardian will be notified.

SECOND SERIOUS OFFENSE The individual will be ejected for the remainder of the season. Conference will be held before next season.

Serious Offenses may NOT include warnings.

 

Serious Offenses include (but are not limited to) –

  • Vandalism

  • Harming Others

  • Using profane language towards others

  • Endangering safety of patrons

  • Using harmful substances (Vaping)

 

Marshall Aquatics Management reserves the RIGHT TO EJECT PATRONS from the pool for not following MAC policies and regulations.
